ZAGREB, April 2 (Hina) - According to corrected data from the State Institute for Statistics, Croatia's last year exports were worth more than USD 4.4 billion, which is three percent more than the year before. At the same time,
imports amounted to USD 7.9 billion, which is a 1.6 percent increase compared to the year before. Last year's foreign trade deficits amounted to USD 3.4 billion whereas the export/import ratio was 55.9 percent. The latest results are somewhat more favourable than the results published previously, according to which exports rose by two and imports by 1.4 percent. The corrected data on foreign trade were published following check-ups and corrections of some customs certificates. The latest data are temporary as well as the Institute continues to correct the already published 2000 data.(hina) rml
