ZAGREB, March 29 (Hina) - An MP of the strongest opposition party, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), described parliament's refusal of Thursday to appoint him to its Internal Affairs and National Security Committee as an "absolute
precedent in Croatian parliament." HDZ's Ivic Pasalic said the committee was one of parliament's most important ones, taking care of the highest national interests. "It is evident there are many in this government who hold they don't need someone who on HDZ's behalf would defend those interests very clearly," he said.(hina) ha sb
