ZAGREB, March 27 (Hina) - The parliamentary majority will respect the Constitutional Court's decision to evaluate the constitutionality of a motion on amending the Constitution and of a Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) demand to pass a
temporary measure halting the passing of the amendments. Lower house vice president Mato Arlovic said on Tuesday he did not think the upper house's decision to debate the constitutional amendments would postpone voting on the matter in the lower house. He views it as yet another attempt by the upper house to obstruct the work of the lower house. A little less than two weeks ago, the upper house refused to include the constitutional amendments motion in its agenda, doing so only today. The amendments call for abolishing the upper house. The lower house should adopt the amendments on Wednesday, as has been announced.(hina) ha sb
