The Office of High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch issued a statement Friday saying Petritsch and Powell met in Washington earlier in the day to discuss the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the region, especially in the light of current conflicts in Macedonia. Powell expressed full support to Petritsch's work in Bosnia and commended him for the quick and resolute act of dismissing HDZ president Ante Jelavic and three other party officials who tried to undermine the constitutional order of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the statement said.
