BELGRADE, March 22 (Hina) - The Yugoslav Chamber of Commerce (PKJ)
will forward the Croatian government a suggestion for the signing
of a free trade agreement, PKJ president Slobodan Korac said
Thursday.
Following his one-day visit to Zagreb, Korac said in Belgrade a free
trade agreement would contribute to "a significant trade increase"
between the two countries. He added the Croatian Chamber of
Commerce has already made a motion on the issue to the government.
Korac said the Yugoslav "Gosa" wagon factory will soon sign an
agreement with the Croatian Railway on wagon repairs, and the
"Umka" cardboard factory is already on the Croatian market.
He also added the Srijemska Mitrovica meat industry "Matroz" will
soon place their products on the Croatian market.
Serbia's "BK-grupa" has already discussed the possibilities of
expanding the mobile network in Croatia, and the cooperation with
"a private television station".
The PKJ president assessed the best possibilities of co-operation
with Croatia are in industry and agriculture.
"We received convictions that the visa regime for business people
will be expedited and simplified, and there is the possibility of
chambers of commerce accepting the issuing of certificates to
(Yugoslav) business people to receive Croatian visas more easily,"
Korac concluded.
