ZAGREB, March 3 (Hina) - President Stipe Mesic slammed on Saturday the decisions a Bosnian Croat people's assembly reached at a meeting in the southern Bosnian town of Mostar on the establishment of Bosnian Croat self-government.
Croats leaving the Croat-Muslim federation want to break up Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President told a panel of the Croatian Helsinki Committee on Human Rights in Zagreb. Mesic said the participants in the Mostar assembly were not interested in the fate of Croats living in parts of Bosnia where they are in the minority. He said Bosnia's problems must be resolved through its institutions, in cooperation with the international community, and added he wanted Croats to be a constituent people throughout Bosnia.
