PRIME MINISTER RECEIVES CHINESE STATE SECRETARY

ZAGREB, Feb 20 (Hina) - Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Tuesday received Wu Yi, China's state secretary visiting Croatia at the head of a mixed Chinese delegation of political officials and businessmen. Racan and Yi said they were satisfied with Croatia-China relations, and that they should be intensified in the future, particularly in the economy and trade, the government's Public and Media Relations Office said in a statement. Racan and Yi also discussed illegal international migrations, stating the resolving of the issue must be founded on strong cooperation among international bodies and that states must cooperate more closely in terms of prevention. China supports the efforts the Croatian government is making to restructure the economy, implement reforms, and join the European Union. The Chinese delegation, which visited the port of Dubrovnik and the island of Korcula in the south, said tourist trade could also be intensified.
