PODGORICA, Feb 15 (Hina) - An assistant to Croatian Environmental Protection and Zoning, Hrvoje Glavac, and Montenegrin Environmental Protection Minister Miodrag Gomilanovic on Thursday held talks in Podgorica. Their talks revolved
around the environmental protection starting from regulation in line with European Union standards. The interlocutors agreed that they should establish the exchange of information on a regular basis and set up an expert team which could draw up some joint projects, the Montenegrin government stated. The projects are about the protection of the Adriatic Sea and de-contamination of the Arza promontory on the peninsula of Lustica, which was contaminated with depleted uranium during NATO air-strikes against Yugoslavia. The two sides expect support within the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative for these regional projects, the same source added.(hina) ms
