ZAGREB, Feb 14 (Hina) - Representatives of 16 Homeland War veterans' associations, which are organising a protest rally in Zagreb on Thursday, told reporters on Wednesday they had invited to the meeting only the presidents of the
republic, parliament and government, Stjepan Mesic, Zlatko Tomcic and Ivica Racan, and not political parties. The meeting, to be held under the slogan "Together in War, Together After the War", is expected to gather about 200,000 people from the country and abroad. The president of the Association of Homeland War Volunteers, Tomislav Mercep, told reporters the presence of leading state officials would be useful for the sake of dialogue between soldiers and the authority.
