ZAGREB, Jan 25 (Hina) - A group of 19 Croatian mayors and city authority representatives have completed a 17-day seminar on effective city governance at the Cleveland State University, the University said in a statement on Thursday.
The seminar, which ended on Jan. 24, was the first in a one-year programme intended to help city leaders learn how to govern and serve the interests and needs of their fellow citizens better and more effectively. The trip to the United States and the seminar were partly financed by Cleveland-based businessman Paul Unger, who has been active in Croatian-U.S. relations since the end of World War Two when he took part in the distribution of international relief in Croatia.(hina) ha
