negotiations on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) between Croatia and the European Union will take place in Brussels on Thursday and tackle the issues of trade, agriculture and fishing trade. Croatia's delegation at the talks will be headed by chief negotiator Neven Mimica, while the EU's delegation will be headed by Catherine Day of the European Commission's general directorate for foreign affairs. The negotiations are the continuation of a process initiated in Zagreb in November last year, when Croatia's Prime Minister Ivica Racan and European Commission President Romano Prodi opened negotiations on the SAA.
