WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL RE-ISSUES ARREST WARRANT FOR MILOSEVIC

ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - The international war crimes tribunal on Monday re-issued an arrest warrant for former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic indicted of genocide and war crimes. The Judge David Hunt also re-issued arrest warrants for Milan Milutinovic, Nikola Sainovic, Dragoljub Ojdanic and Vlajko Stojiljkovic, a press release by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) said. The indictment and warrants of arrest were initially issued against the suspects on May 24, 1999 and forwarded to the then Yugoslav Justice Minister, all UN member-states and Switzerland. Judge Hunt's request explained "in accordance with Security Council resolution 827 the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is obliged to cooperate fully with the International Tribunal and to comply with any orders issued under Article 29 of the Statute," the ICTY said in the statement.
