ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - Members of the Croatian Bishops' Conference and the Bishops' Conference of Bosnia-Herzegovina forwarded a joint appeal to authorities to make sure all refugees and displaced persons can return to their homeland
and their homes, in line with their assumed obligations. The appeal warned about the dramatic situation of exiled Croat Catholics from Bosnia-Herzegovina currently residing in Croatia, which was the focus of a two-day annual meeting of Croat bishops held in Zagreb on January 22 and 23. The bishops called on local politicians and representatives of the international community to finally implement provisions of the Dayton Agreement and other documents on the restoration of the basic human and civil rights and freedoms of all refugees and displaced persons, including displaced Catholics from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
