On the first day of his official two-day visit to Kosovo, Meta gave
Kosovo Television an exclusive 40-minute interview. He said
Albania was convinced that the partnership with Kosovo was helping
the stabilisation processes in the region and regional integration
and would not cause isolation of either Albania or Kosovo.
According to Meta, his visits to Belgrade, Moscow and Pristina aim
at strengthening Albania's bilateral relations with Yugoslavia,
Russia and Kosovo, in keeping with efforts invested in the
integration of the region with the European Union and NATO, Meta
said.
Albania is interested in solving Kosovo's status through a new
engagement of the international community, primarily the Security
Council, which will take into account the will of all Kosovo
citizens, regardless of their ethnic background, Meta said.
