ZAGREB, Dec 12 (Hina) - The town of Hrvatska Kostajnica has been awarded a "certificate for partnership in cooperation among municipalities and regions" for its contribution to the strengthening of local democracy, the Croatian
Foreign Ministry reported Thursday.

municipalities and regions" for its contribution to the

The secretariat of the Council of Europe's congress of local and
regional governments presented the award at a general assembly of
the association of Local Democracy Agencies (LDA) in Strasbourg on
Wednesday.
The LDA association was founded almost ten years ago under the
patronage of the Council of Europe's congress of local and regional
governments. LDA is also active in Croatia's Sisak, Osijek and
Brtonigla.
