Picula is also expected to address Croatia's cooperation with the
OSCE Mission in the country.
After his arrival in Vienna this afternoon, Picula will meet his
Austrian counterpart Benita Ferrero-Walder, with whom he will
discuss bilateral issues, the situation in the region,
multilateral relations, etc.
As regards Croatia's international obligations, Picula will most
certainly discuss issues mentioned in the OSCE Mission's latest
six-month report, such as refugee return, minority rights, the
functioning of the rule of law, judicial reforms, freedom of the
media, and the development of civil society in Croatia.
Picula is expected to use his visit to lobby for Croatia's drawing
closer to Euro-Atlantic associations, especially in the light of
Tuesday's signing of a protocol with Yugoslavia on a temporary
regime on Prevlaka and today's opening of another crossing on the
Croatian-Slovene border.
