Pavlicek Patak announced the appeal to the Supreme Court during a
brief recess in the reading of the explanation of his ruling.
She did not wish to comment on the ruling in the first instance
passed by the panel of judges of Zagreb County Court, presided by
Judge Ratko Scekic, that rejected claims by the prosecution of the
existence of the so-called criminal organisation led by the first
person on the indictment, Nikica Jelavic.
Of the twelve accused, five were sentenced for selling drugs,
attempted murder or some other crimes.
