The bill, which was forwarded into parliamentary procedure
yesterday, envisages the right to maintenance, joint acquisition
of property, and inheritance for same-sex de facto relationships.
The registration of those relationships will be regulated with a
by-law, in the process of which the experience of other countries
will be applied, Vidovic told reporters.
Same-sex de facto relationships will be registered by public
notaries or in some other way, and the procedure will be the same for
all de facto relationships, the minister said.
If the parliament adopts the bill, same-sex relationships will be
legalised for the first time in Croatia, Vidovic said.
