COLOMBO, Nov 18 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said in Colombo on Monday that useful talks which would advance Croatia's overall cooperation with India and Sri Lanka had been conducted and that Croatian businessmen
discussed concrete projects during his visit to the two countries.

At the end of his three-day visit to Sri Lanka and before that, his
visit to India, the Croatian head of state gave a final evaluation
of the visit before departing for Zagreb. On his trip, Mesic was
accompanied by a Croatian delegation and businessmen.
"I believe that we have conducted useful talks which will advance
our overall cooperation and our businessmen also discussed details
and concrete jobs, the results of which will be visible very soon,"
said Mesic, who held talks with top officials of India and Sri
Lanka.
India and Sri Lanka wish to enter rich European markets and they can
do that through Croatia which can offer its highways (under
construction) because they will connect the Croatian coast and
Central Europe, as well as its ports and free zones, Mesic said.
"This was accepted in India and Sri Lanka," Mesic said.
During the visit to Mumbai (former Bombay) also agreed was the visit
of Indian businessmen to Croatia.
The Croatian businessmen held talks with their counterparts in New
Delhi, Mumbai and the Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.
In New Delhi, Croatia signed an agreement on cooperation in economy
and a memorandum on encouraging the two countries' exports. A
protocol on consultations between the foreign ministries of
Croatia and Sri Lanka was also signed.
