"We expect legal steps to be taken based on the handed indictment
and arrest warrant...., which is apprehension or the procedure
envisaged by Article 59 (of the tribunal's Rules)," Hartmann said
when asked to comment on Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan's
statement that the competent county court would be forwarded the
indictment against General Janko Bobetko.
The procedure should have been implemented back in September, when
the indictment was received, Hartmann said.
Article 59 of the tribunal's Rules on Procedure and Evidence
envisages that the country which has been sent an arrest warrant, in
case it is not able to comply with it, notify the tribunal of the
reasons.
