The ceremony took place at the community centre in Dalj.
"Nobody in Croatia should have anything against the singing of the
Croatian anthem on the municipality day," said Tomislav
Hajdukovic, the head of the local Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)
branch.
The Erdut municipal council consists of 11 members of the Serb
Democratic Independent Party (SDSS), three HDZ members, one
Liberal Party (LS) member, one Croatian Party of Rights (HSP)
member, and one member of the Slavonian Valley party.
The municipality of Erdut marks its day on 12 November to
commemorate the conclusion of the 1995 Erdut agreement which
enabled the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube River
region.
