The van with Slovene licence plates was driven by a Slovene, who was
arrested by the Croatian police.
After an interrogation it was established that 20 illegal
immigrants were Turks, two were ethnic Albanians with Yugoslav
passports, and one was a Macedonian and one Albanian, Medjimurje
County police reported.
The foreigners were reprimanded and are not allowed to enter
Croatia in the next 12 months. On Tuesday evening they were taken to
a shelter for illegal aliens in Jezevo, outside Zagreb.
This has been this year's biggest group of illegal migrants
arrested by the Croatian police in Medjimurje County.
