ZAGREB, Oct 28 (Hina) - Promoting the position of business women in societies in transition, creating an atmosphere for a stronger development of women's entrepreneurship and providing additional specialised education for
women-entrepreneurs are only some of the issues which will be discussed during a two-day international seminar on the development of women's entrepreneurship which began at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce on Monday.
ZAGREB, Oct 28 (Hina) - Promoting the position of business women in
societies in transition, creating an atmosphere for a stronger
development of women's entrepreneurship and providing additional
specialised education for women-entrepreneurs are only some of the
issues which will be discussed during a two-day international
seminar on the development of women's entrepreneurship which began
at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce on Monday. #L#
The organisers of the seminar are the Croatian Association of
Business Women (KRUG) and the International Centre for Science and
High Technology of the UN (ICS-UNIDO). The seminar is held under the
auspices of the Central European Initiative (CEI).
The seminar has gathered women-entrepreneurs and employees in the
cultural, public and political spheres in Albania, Austria,
Bosnia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Rumania, Slovenia,
Switzerland and Yugoslavia.
Participants said that the increased number of women in politics,
the judiciary and economy was evident, although still at an
insufficient level.
