At the same time, experts have been running tests to establish what
exactly the discovered explosive substances are used for. So far,
the police have checked eight of 14 containers on the ship, which is
moored at the Rijeka port. The ship has been relocated to a less busy
part of the port so that other ships could use the port normally.
Aboard the ship are 12 members of the crew, Yugoslav citizens, who
are being checked. The crew are not allowed to leave the ship nor
have they been granted permits to move within a restricted area.
The police will cooperate with Interpol during the investigation,
read the statement signed by spokeswoman Zinka Bardic.
