At a symposium entitled "Bosnia-Herzegovina After 2002 Elections"
held at the Islamic Centre in Zagreb, Tankovic assessed the party's
victory in Bosnia as brilliant, but said he foresaw difficulties in
governing.
"The SDA won elections earlier, but was never capable to rule
completely. Bosnia is a country with restricted sovereignty, and
some other people other than its citizens are making decisions in
it," Tankovic said.
The SDA offered the best programme for Bosnia's future, which is why
it came back to power. The party is constantly being criticised for
nationalism, with all negative attributes, but the SAD never was a
xenophobic or an intolerant party, Tankovic asserted.
