Michael Steiner made this announcement in Osojane, two days after
Albanians stoned a bus with Serb residents who had come to Pec to
collect their pensions.
He promised the Serbs of Osojane that a similar incident would not
reoccur as it would harm Kosovo's image.
Steiner said foreign businessmen could not be encouraged to invest
in Kosovo if there was no security and citizens were exposed to
violence.
Security for all citizens is crucial for the normalisation of the
situation in Kosovo, he stated.
Steiner commended the fact that local authorities in Pec had
condemned the attack on pensioners.
Speaking about a donor conference in Brussels on Nov. 15, he said
priority would be given to projects for the return of all displaced
persons.
