The two officials evaluated that Croatian-Yugoslav economic
relations were improving and that the signing of a free trade
agreement by year's end should enhance them further.
Micunovic and Bozinovic also pointed to the need of closer
cooperation in other areas, particularly in preparations for entry
into European associations.
According to the Yugoslav government statement, Bozinovic was
interested in the course of the adoption of a charter of the future
Serbia-Montenegro union. The adoption of the charter is important
not only for the stability of those two republics but for the entire
region as well, he said.
