KOPRIVNICA, Sept 29 (Hina) - The president of the Liberal Party

"The Liberal Party does not wish to participate in this cacophony of
voices. We do not wish to participate in homogenisation on
unrealistic foundations," Kramaric said at a news conference.
He added that the LS had tried to act sensibly with regards to the
Hague tribunal's indictment against General Janko Bobetko so it
would have a soothing effect on the public and face "possible
consequences of an instance of irrational behaviour".
"We remind Croatian citizens about obligations Croatia has towards
the international community," Kramaric said.
He assessed that "the fulfilment of these obligations in no way
brings into question Croatia's sovereignty, preservation or
anything else".
Kramaric said "the fulfilment of some of our obligations towards
the international community is not an issue whether we want to or
not, they are a part of international law and the fact that Croatia
is a part of the international community".
The LS advocates all misunderstandings and complaints to be solved
exclusively with legal means, Kramaric said.
He said the party could not agree with elements of the indictment
against Bobetko since no court or indictment could cast doubt in the
legitimacy of military operations, including the one in Medak
Pocket.
However, Kramaric added, "all this can be argued in court and one
should be enabled to do so, so that the unacceptable elements are
refuted in the courtroom".
