Stokic said that the crimes committed in the bank had been outside
his jurisdiction, his lawyers said.
According to Stokic, all decisions pertaining to the signing of
contracts, including the two which damaged the bank for US$27
million, were unanimously made by the management board in which he
had only one vote.
However, Stokic signed the two contentious contracts, with Swiss
France and Carr Futures, two monetary institutions specialising in
foreign currency arbitrage.
