Considering the number of exhibitors and the number of visitors,
who are expected to reach 400,000 tonight, the JMZV again this year
asserted itself as being one of the biggest regional fairs, Spevec
said.
Accompanying the fair were 30 conferences, of which 40 percent were
international with a total of 2,500 participants.
Exceptionally well visited was the Croatian Economic Forum, a
traditional meeting of business people with the Croatian Prime
Minister and representatives of the Croatian government, and the
conference held for the first time "European Union, Stabilisation
and Association Agreement - Reflection on Economy".
China's appearance was exceptionally good. Chin was this year's
country-partner of the Fair.
Fourteen countries had a collective appearance at the autumn fair,
including Poland and Hungary, Spevec said.
As part of the Fair, four specialised manifestations took place --
Cromoney (the 4th fair of finances and business opportunities),
Intertekstil (58th fair of textile and accompanying industry), the
51st international leather, footwear and clothes week, and
Modernpak (the 19th international package and packing technology
fair).
All this indicates that manifestations at Zagreb Fair are still of
great significance, not only for Zagreb's, but for Croatia's
economy, Spevec said.
