The park's head, Ivica Samardzic, has told Hina that it is a very
important discovery as the cave is the most beautiful and the best
ornamented cave in eastern Croatia.
The cave called "Tisina Spilja" is interested because of possible
findings of great archaeological and palaentological importance.
Some findings may confirm that in this area early man had lived in
prehistory.
The cave was called according to the tisa tree, i.e. yew trees which
grow on the slopes of Krndija and Papuk.
