Judge Sajonara Culina said the two suspects pleaded not guilty.
Borislav Perozic, a former Rijecka Bank management board member,
and Milojko Tankosic, a former director in charge of the foreign
currency department, were arrested last Friday.
According to Judge Culina, the former Rijecka Bank chairman of the
board Ivan Stokic should be interviewed tomorrow, upon his release
from hospital.
Stokic, Perozic, and Tankosic are charged, among else, with having
issued false annual reports to cover up the bank's negative
operations. Stokic and Perozic are also accused of having received
high bonuses based on their manager's contracts.
During the same period of financial wrongdoing, Rijecka Bank's
former chief dealer Eduard Nodilo and two staff members have been
accused of having damaged the bank for US$100 million.
