Other participants of the talks gave no statements after the
meeting, except for the president of the Yugoslav parliament's
Citizens' Council, Dragoljub Micunovic, who said that the way of
electing members of parliament was still a contentious issue, since
the Democratic Party of Socialists kept refusing a direct election
of MPs into the federal parliament.
The Serbian Party and a Montenegrin opposition party the
Montenegrin Socialist People's Party, on the other hand, advocate
direct elections.
Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic said that talks about a
constitutional charter would continue n several days, and, as he
said, it could be passed in three or four days.
