Witness Josip Perkovic, former head of the Croatian Defence
Ministry's intelligence service (SIS) administration, said on
Monday that the SIS had information on cooperation between
Oreskovic and the FBI. Oreskovic was allegedly following the FBI's
order to monitor the work of the then Yugoslav consulate in
Chicago.
Oreskovic claims that in the late 1980s' he was trying to prevent
Yugoslav counter-intelligence services' attempts to make Croatian
extremists commit terrosist crimes in the United States with an aim
to discredit Croatia.
He said his activities in the United States were completzely
