VUKOVAR MAYOR RECEIVES OSCE OFFICIAL AT FAREWELL VISIT

VUKOVAR, Aug 14 (Hina) - Vukovar Mayor Vladimir Stengl on Wednesday received the outgoing head of the OSCE co-ordination centre in this Croatian town, Jan Sizoo. #L# OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe) official expressed satisfaction with the reconstruction of Vukovar. Commenting on the events in the last year, Ambassador Sizoo pointed out the announcement of the results of the 2001 national census and the recently adopted amendments to the law on the areas of the special state concern with an emphasis given to the concrete deadlines for the restoration of assets to their real owners, read a statement released by Vukovar Mayor's office. Mayor Stengl believes that the renovation of this war-hit town should be completed in the coming two construction seasons.
