"We consider such a conduct by the Yugoslav army impermissible as,
unfortunately, it once again reminded us of 1991 and all the
brutality of the start of the aggression on... Croatia," read the
statement.
The coordinating body extended its full support to the government,
head of state, and parliament to bring the situation in eastern-
most Croatia back to normal.
On Sunday the Yugoslav army apprehended an eastern Croatian county
delegation after intercepting their boat on the Danube with
shooting. The Croatian delegation had an arranged meeting with
representatives of Backa Palanka, Yugoslavia, on a river islet.
After being interviewed at a Backa Palanka barracks, the Croatian
delegation was returned to Sarengrad on the Croatian bank of the
river.
