Announcing "the establishment of new standards" in mutual
relations among the three countries, the Chairman of the Bosnian
Presidency, Beriz Belkic, said on Tuesday those relations would be
based on European values, and "eliminate the habit and need for
misunderstandings and problems to be resolved by violence".
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of the Presidency members
with High Representative Paddy Ashdown, which focused on
preparations for the Sarajevo summit, Belkic confirmed that Bosnia
had already received a joint statement as drawn up by Croatian
President Stjepan Mesic's office, and added that consultations
with the Yugoslav side were in progress.
