The ministry assessed that the new, although short, prolongation of
the UN mission in Bosnia (UNMBiH) presents a positive step in bids
to overcome the current disagreement.
The Security Council on Wednesday unanimously decided to extend the
mandate of its mission in Bosnia by 15 July.
The ministry believes that this prolongation will help create
possibilities for the removal of unnecessary deadlocks in the
implementation of planned activities.
"We expect that the period by 15 July will be used for finding a
diplomatic solution which will make it possible for the UNMBiH to
carry out its remaining task and for the European Union to take over
the police task in an unhampered and organised way," read a
statement released by the ministry.
