Simic stressed that Ashdown should not repeat the mistake as was the
recent dismissal of the Bosnian Federation's finance minister,
Nikola Grabovac.
"Ashdown must take into consideration not to feed Croat extremism
with such acts," Simic said.
Another mistake of the international community which spurred Croat
extremism in Bosnia is last year's case of Hercegovacka Banka whose
accounts were blocked by order of the former, Wolfgang Petritsch,
and mandatory administration introduced, due to the bank's alleged
illegal transactions, Simic said.
Fourteen months since the bank's accounts have been blocked, no
tangible evidence on illegalities in the work of the bank have been
published.
