BLED, June 21 (hina) - Croatian Defence Minister Jozo Rados in Slovenia's Bled on Friday signed a statement under which Croatia became the seventh member of the CENCOOP, the Central European initiative for the support to
peace.

Rados signed the statement in the presence of the defence ministers
of Austria, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and Slovenia,
which joined the initiative in 1997.
The fourth meeting of the CENCOOP defence ministers will focus on
cooperation among CENCOOP member countries in peace operations and
the European security structure. The ministers will speak at a
joint press conference this afternoon.
After the meeting they will be received by Slovene President Milan
Kucan.
On the margins of the meeting, the Croatian Defence Minister on
Thursday evening held talks with his Slovene counterpart Anton
Grizold. They said that cooperation between the two countries was
good and that it could contribute to the stability of Southeast
Europe.
