The basis for a planned development of cooperation is the signed
agreement on the protection of investments, while the signing of
agreements on free trade and double taxation avoidance has been
announced.
The two sides also announced the establishment of air traffic
between Belgrade and Ljubljana for the autumn.
Slovenia's pharmaceutical company "Lek" is negotiating with
Yugoslavia's "Jugoremidija" from Zrenjanin, which agreed to expand
production, while "Gorenje" already bought a location for the
construction of business facilities in a suburb of Belgrade.
The two countries' business people discussed property restitution
at a meeting at the Yugoslav Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber's president, Slobodan Korac, pointed out the need for
the signing of an agreement on property-rights issues as soon as
possible.
His suggestion to establish commissions, including the possibility
of arbitration, to help companies acquire their property, was
supported by the president of the Slovene Chamber of Commerce,
Josko Cuk.
