The international community must not risk lessening its
involvement because internal and regional consequences would very
probably entice the world to become involved at a higher price,
Klein said.
He informed Security Council members about the achievements of the
UN mission in Bosnia in the past half-year, and warned that despite
the progress, Bosnia faced many tasks, as the border police was one
of only a few multiethnic services functioning successfully.
Bosnia is faced with all the challenges of economic and social
development as are other countries in transition, Klein said.
