ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister and president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Council, Antun Vujic, on Friday told reporters that the SDP Council, having discussed proposed changes to the working text of the
law on higher education and scientific research, concluded that the law was still not appropriate for forwarding into parliamentary procedure.
ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister and president of
the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Council, Antun Vujic, on Friday
told reporters that the SDP Council, having discussed proposed
changes to the working text of the law on higher education and
scientific research, concluded that the law was still not
appropriate for forwarding into parliamentary procedure. #L#
Vujic said the party was interested in the law being passed as soon
as possible but added that "an acceptable level of consensus in the
academic and wider scientific population" was needed.
SDP's coalition partner, Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) on
Friday said that the draft law should be forwarded to the parliament
as soon as possible.
