Crnic held a working meeting in Osijek with town heads and judges at
the county, commercial, municipal and petty offence courts.
Speaking to journalists he explained that because of the deficiency
in the number of judges, cases lasted longer and certain criteria
now existed to fill the courts.
He said that further education of judges was necessary due to new
laws and regulations being implemented as part of the demands set by
the European Union.
He added that the meeting in Osijek discussed cases that had been
continuing longer than expected and that judges obliged themselves
to give priority to these matters and to end them as soon as
possible.
