Addressing the Fourth convention of associations of Croatian
Homeland War civilian victims, Zinbo said that around 40,000
missing persons were being sought on the territory of the ex-
Yugoslavia, including 20,611 in Bosnia.
Zinbo said the actual number of missing persons was higher, as for
many no reports have been officially filed. The number of missing
persons in Bosnia alone is probably around 30,000, she added.
The ICMP counts on the resources and facilities for DNA analysis in
Croatia in the work of the regional centre and the tracing of the
missing, said Zinbo. She added the ICMP supported cooperation among
ex-Yugoslavia's states in the tracing of the missing, exhumations
and identifications.
