Following an on-the-spot investigation, Sisak County Court's
investigating judge Zeljko Mlinaric stated that the explosion was
caused during works on the valve system used to release waste
materials.
Following the inspection, the plant continued with normal
production.
Damage to the plant is minimal and the production need not cease,
Cavrak said, adding that the cause of the explosion was being
investigated.
Two maintenance workers were seriously injured in the explosion and
transferred to Zagreb for emergency medical attention. Three other
employees and two firemen were slightly injured and given medical
care in the Sisak hospital, after which they were released.
