More than 6,000 pupils attend Croatian classes in 14 countries,
Education and Sports Minister Vladimir Strugar said, adding that
more than 90 teachers worked with them.
"The purpose of remedial classes in other countries is to meet the
educational needs of children and youth, first of all for the
continuous acquisition of knowledge in Croatian language,
literature, geography, history and culture in general, as well as
to connect them with the mother country," said the minister.
Besides, he added, the young are prepared for life in a multi-
cultural society.
