October 5 this year. #L#
The party was divided into fractions mid-April between those who
wanted to take part in the election and those against, however, the
Central Committee in early May appointed Colak and other
uncompromised officials which opened the forum for HDZ to register
and take part in the election process.
The registration itself would not have any meaning if we were not to
take part in the election, Colak said following a meeting of the HDZ
presidency held in Mostar on Wednesday.
The party's vice president, Dragan Covic confirmed that the party
would take part in the election at all levels. HDZ B-H appointed a
central and implementing election camp and a draft of the party's
election strategy was adopted.
HDZ's aim at the next election is victory. HDZ wishes to amend the
position of the Croatian people in Bosnia, Covic claimed.
According to Covic, HDZ would adapt the moment that is current and
gear its campaign towards the dominant social situation.
All our endeavours will be directed towards changing the social
image of Croats in Bosnia, Covic said, adding that privatisation
would open a significant number of wounds before the year's end.
