PR, held in late 2000. #L#
Presenting the edition, the newly-elected SUOJ president, Ksenija
Renko Nagy, said that more and more companies and institutions in
Croatia were establishing public relations departments and that
public relations was a profession which had been increasingly
developing over the last five years. The problem which remained,
she said, was lack of adequate education for those wishing to work
as PR officers but were forced to educate themselves on their own,
read foreign literature, exchange experience or go to a college
abroad. SUOJ's main goal is finding adequate education programmes
for its members and promoting its initiative on the establishment
of public relations studies in Croatia, Renko Nagy said.
