GREDELJ STILL CONSIDERS HIMSELF COUNTY COURT PRESIDENT

ZAGREB, May 27 (Hina) - A former president of the Bjelovar County Court, Vladimir Gredelj, still considers himself the court president, and says that the decision on appointing Mladen Piskorac court president is unconstitutional, illegal and uncivilised, since his own mandate lasts until February 17, 2003.
#L# In a letter to Justice Minister Ingrid Anticevic Marinovic, Gredelj says that the appointing process at some courts was carried out contrary to regulations, and stressed that he received no notice to hand over his duty, nor a decision on the termination of his mandate. Gredelj says that he will therefore not be able to make the hand-over of duties at the court, announced for tomorrow. Taking into consideration the court's dignity, Gredelj says he is ready to leave the office in a reasonable period of time, but he must receive a decision to that effect, as well as a decision on the end of his mandate.
